Two Kohala Elementary School students won the school’s recent spelling bee. Fourth grader David Jimenez, who won after spelling the word “imbibe,” and fifth grader Kyle Weyrick, who spelled the winning word “equinox,” will represent KES at the Hawaii District Spelling Bee on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Hawaii Preparatory Academy’s Gates Performing Arts Center.
