Parker School’s theatre group Dramatiques will present the four-time, Tony Award-winning musical “In the Heights,” from April 26 through May 5 at the Parker School Theatre in Waimea.
Directed by Parker School drama and dance teacher Dr. Angela Alforque, the play is about Latin American community life in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood. It will feature lively Latin-flavored singing and dancing.
The production is presented through special arrangement with R & H Theatricals. Lead actors include Paul Gregg as Usnavi De La Veg; Maddy Nelson, Elliott Jacobson and Mariko Langevin playing Nina, Kevin and Camila Rosario; Benny Aidan Wharton as Benny; Nondi Lampkin as Vanessa; Majdi Mariano as Sonny; Savannah Harriman-Pote as Abuela Claudia, and Megan Yost as Daniela.
“In the Heights” is Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m., from April 26 through May 5. There will be no show Friday, May 3.
