Sign ups for the Summer Fun Program at the Waimea Community Center are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 8-19, at the Waimea
Community Center. Registration will continue during normal working hours until enrollment is met. The program is June 10-July 19, 8-3 p.m., and will consist of a spectrum of arts and crafts projects, indoor/outdoor games, sports, music, dance, nature exploration, swimming, special events and excursions. Students who have completed kindergarten through grade 6 may participate. Participants must be 5 years old or older as of December 31, 2012.
Cost is $150.00 per child and includes the $50 activity fee to be used for bowling, movies, snacks, beach cookout,
and pizza and ice cream for end-of-the-year parties. Tentatively, a free lunch program is being planned. Payment must be made in cash, money order or certified check only. No personal checks will be accepted. Enrollment limit is 60 students.
