In celebration of Youth Art Month, the Firehouse Gallery in Waimea is displaying an exhibit of art created by students throughout North and South Kohala and Hamakua districts, to submit works of art to be juried and displayed at the Firehouse Gallery from now until March 22.

The 30th Annual Youth Art Exhibition was juried by Jonathan Rawle, who has taught at all grade levels on the mainland and in local schools in the South Kohala and Hamakua districts.

Adult members of the Firehouse Gallery have also added an exhibition of “Art About Kids” in the back gallery, featuring images of children. The works are available for purchase, along with other examples of the talented artist members of the Firehouse Gallery. Call 887-1052 for information or visit their website: WaimeaArtsCouncil.org.
