Teen Tech Tutors offer seniors tech-help through a program based in at St. James Church in Waimea every Sunday. The program was developed by a group of tech-savvy and community-spirited teens from HPA, Parker, Honokaa and Kamehameha High Schools who banded together to form Teen Tech Tutors. Their goal was to provide inexpensive tech consulting services for people aged 50 and older on PC or Mac laptops, cell phones, iPads and Kindles.
Each Sunday from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Teen Techs are available to help answer your technology questions or up-grade your computer, cell phone or Internet skills. They also explain Facebook, Skype, photo sharing, PowerPoint and Excel. Just bring your charged electronics and a $5 donation (which goes to local charities) to Spencer House on the St. James Episcopal Church campus on Kawaihae Road, across from Waimea Park. You can drop in, first come, first served, or reserve a slot at 808-345-6266 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
