The Puako Community clean-up, sponsored by the non-profit “Keep Hawaii Beautiful,” is from 7:30 to 11 a.m., on April 20. The clean-up will focus on land and water removal of litter from these areas: Puako Boat Ramp and Puako Bay, Alakahakai historical trail, Ohai Pt., Down Old Puako Road, Queen Highway intersection of Puako Road to Hokualoa Church. Puako Transfer Station. Volunteers will meet at the Puako Boat Ramp.
Bring gear for water removal. Dive and snorkel gear and kayak or other water craft.Wear proper shoes and dress, bring heavy work gloves, buckets for recyclables, tools such as rakes to remove plastic from trees if desired.
