Department of the Army police officer Brian Mabry has been named the employee of the quarter for the Pohakuloa Training Area.

Mabry, whose responsibilities include both traffic enforcement and accident investigation, was recognized for his outstanding performance at the training base.

Mabry was also commended for his willingness to perform additional duties above and beyond those required by his position. He produced a strategic plan for the design of a much-needed new police station at PTA, resulting in accolades and numerous positive comments by the engineer committee tasked with planning PTA improvements.

“Brian has also begun to conduct traffic surveys of the entire base camp and surrounding areas for the development of a more progressive, free-flowing and safety conscious vehicular and pedestrian traffic system,” said Lt. Col. Eric Shwedo, PTA commander.

Mabry’s award nomination noted that he consistently performs all assignments with exemplary proficiency, accuracy and operational readiness to respond at all times.
