Mauna Kea Resort’s Third Annual Festival of Aloha is Sunday, Sept. 21, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel’s courtyard and ballroom. The family friendly event is free, open to the public and will feature live entertainment, Hawaiian craft vendors, food booths and more. The theme of this year’s Festival of Aloha is He olino leo ka ke aloha or “joyousness is in the voice of love.”
Food booths will feature Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel Executive Chef Peter Abarcar Jr.’s famous Hawaiian plates as well as delicious offerings from Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Executive Chef Hans Lentz and his team. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned food donations to benefit Hawaii Island Food Basket.
Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, will mark its 20th anniversary in August. As a special mahalo to local residents, the hotel is offering exclusive promotions including extra value to its popular kama’aina package for the Festival of Aloha weekend, Sept. 19-21.
