Nine different Hawaii quilt shops throughout the island are participating in the 6th Annual Big Island Quilt Shop Hop, Feb. 1- 22. Along the way, shop-hoppers collect stamps on their passports for a chance to win the grand prize, a Janome Sewing Machine, gift certificates and more.
Also available exclusively at the Shop Hop stops are nine unique quilt block patterns to collect and create the 2014 Shop Hop quilt. The quilt block patterns are free, or available for purchase with fabric as a kit.
The 6th Annual Big Island Quilt Shop Hop launches Feb. 1, with the 21st Annual Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival and the Hawaiian Quilt Show presented by Ka Hui Kapa Apana O Waimea. Maps and passports can be picked up any quilt shop on the route, and “shop-hoppers” can follow their own path, or sign up for a bus tour by calling Quilt Passions, 329-7475.
Topstitch is located in the Waimea Center. For more information on the store, call 885-4482 or visit www.facebook.com/TopstitchHawaii.
