American Cancer Society seeks Reach to Recovery volunteers

The American Cancer Society Hawaii Island Field Office in Hilo is recruiting new volunteers for its Reach to Recovery volunteer program. The Reach to Recovery volunteer program offers one-to-one peer support to help guide newly diagnosed breast cancer patients through their journey. Volunteers should be breast cancer survivors who are more than one year past the last date of treatment who are willing to offer comfort and guidance.

The next training session is Saturday, April 13, at the American Cancer Society Hawaii Island Field Office in Hilo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 935-0025.
