‘Art of hula’ show at Firehouse Gallery

The Waimea Arts Council is presenting an exhibit of “The Art of Hula” in honor of this month’s Merry Monarch Festival. The show will run from April 17 through April 27 in the main gallery of the Firehouse Gallery. Artwork by with a hula theme by local artists will be showcased in various medias including paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media and ipus.

The Firehouse Gallery is a program of the Waimea Arts Council and is located in the heart of downtown Waimea at the main intersection, 67-1201 Mamalahoa Hwy. The gallery hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, subject to docent availability. The Waimea Arts Council is an all-volunteer organization that sponsors programs, exhibits and arts education.
