The Honokaa Business Association nominated an executive board of directors at their general membership meeting on Oct. 15.
Members appointed Ron Thiel of Ron Thiel Woodworking as president, attorney Barbara Franklin as vice president, Ron Franich of Hamakua Energy Partners as second vice president, Jeanne Keller of Dragonfly’s Creation of Hamakua as recording secretary, Michelle Barthel of Big Island Grown as corresponding secretary, Jessi Van Swae of Hamakua Coast Realty as treasurer and the immediate past president is Lois Keb of Kamaaina Woods.
They each will serve a one-year term. For the rollover two-year term, voted in was Alison Higgins of Grace Flowers and Jennifer Young of Malama Market. Members from last year in Claire Fujishige from Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union and Janet Lindsey of North Hawaii Education and Research Center. Other board members are Steven Offenbaker of The Landing Restaurant and Ed Castillo of Aloha Tours & Safari. New members of the Honokaa Business Association are GK Environmental, GND Business Solutions, Mauna Kea Tea, Kyani Dare to Dream, Ahualoa Farms, The Green Chair, Inside Out Lock and Key, and For The Health of It.
