Kua o Ka La Public Charter School will offer a community meeting on their Hipu’u Program at 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 18, at the North Kohala Community Library. The Hipu’u Program is an enriched alternative that combines online curriculum with opportunities for face to face gatherings, community based projects and Hawaiian language and cultural instruction. Program requirements for the grade three through 12 program are: independently manage time well; self-motivated; family culture of continual learning; strong readers (third grade reading level); productive and creative way to use technology to learn, and likes academic challenges and appreciates hard work.
