The Firehouse Gallery to offer December Art Exhibit and Sale

There will be an art reception with free refreshments from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Christmas Parade Day, Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Fire House Gallery, located at the main intersection in downtown Waimea. The public is invited to stop by for hot drinks and cookies and to view the presentation by local artists.

Artist members at the Waimea Arts Council’s Firehouse Gallery are presenting works in their annual holiday season exhibition of “Local Art at Exceptional Prices!” The special exhibit and art sale will run from now through the month of December. There are paintings in many mediums along with drawings, photography, jewelry, and fine crafts. All of the works on display in the main gallery are priced below $250 — a fine opportunity to obtain an extraordinary piece of art for a gift or for your home. Also available at very reasonable prices are prints and cards, some with a holiday theme, by some of Hawaii Island’s most talented artists and artisans.

The Firehouse Gallery is a project of the Waimea Arts Council, and is located at the intersection of Lindsey Road and Mamalahoa Highway, across from the Waimea Chevron. For more information, call 887-1052, visit their website at waimeaartscouncil.org. Usual hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
